Dress Code

To avoid the embarrassment of being denied access to the Club, set out below are some simple guidelines on dress that is acceptable both on the Course and in the Clubhouse and that which is not approved anywhere at the Club.

On the Course:

Recognised golf wear

Golf shoes

Tailored shorts

Tailored full and three quarter length trousers

Skirts and Skorts

Shirts (tucked in) that may be polo necked or smocked

When shorts are worn, predominantly white sockettes or ankle socks, or knee length socks, (which may not necessarily be white) must also be worn.

In the Clubhouse:

As above, with the following amendments:

Footwear is required and Men are requested to wear socks (but this is not compulsory). Modern casual shoes are permitted, including trainers, sandals, loafers and deck shoes. Golf shoes are not permitted in the Bar or Dining Room at any time

Casual dress trousers together with skirts, skorts, shorts and trousers that are acceptable on the Course

Dress as specified as part of a Club function notice or Club Bye Laws

Dress that is not approved:

Denim Jeans

Tee shirts

Combat/cargo style shorts and trousers (those with additional pockets on the front or side)

Clothing designed to be worn for sports and pastimes other than golf, such as football, athletics etc,  and beach wear
